COVID-19 Updates & Information

 

The public health and safety of our Arrowhead residents is our number #1 priority and we are working diligently to keep up with this rapidly and ever-changing situation with the County, State and Federal agencies.  Below, as information is provided by each governmental agency we will do our best to get that information posted in a timely manner.

Updates Affecting the immediate

Arrowhead Community:

 

04/06/2020:  On Friday, April 3rd, Gunnison County issued a 5th "Restrictive" AMENDED Public Health Order. And on Saturday, April 4th provided  a "Clarification" to this 5th Amended Public Order.

 In Section I of the 5th Amended Public Health Order states: "Persons who are not residents of Gunnison County, including but not limited to non-resident homeowners and unemployed seasonal or temporary workers and non-resident university students not presently enrolled in a post-secondary education institution located within Gunnison County, are directed to return to their out-of-Gunnison County place(s) of residence immediately upon the issuance of this Order by the fastest and safest available means, and persons considering visiting Gunnison County (i.e., for tourism purposes or for business purposes inconsistent with this Order) should remain home and are prohibited from entering Gunnison County for any reason",....click here to read more and view the Non-resident Exemption Form

Gunnison County has set up a call center for the COVID-19 Corona Virus response. The Call Center is open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. They will question callers to determine if a screening is needed. Before going to your doctor or the emergency room please call the Call Center at (970) 641-7660.

 

Some of the screening questions will include:

  • Are you experiencing a fever of 101 degrees or greater?

  • Are you experiencing a dry cough or productive/producing cough?

  • Are you experiencing shortness of breath?

  • Do you have any underlying health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, lung conditions (COPD, asthma), or any cancers?

Gunnison County Community Resources:

Special Shopping Hours for At-Risk

  • Safeway will be allowing shopping for the elderly, immuno-compromised, pregnant, and other people with health conditions on Tuesday and Thursday 7:00AM - 9:00AM.

  • Clark’s Market in Crested Butte has a Senior Shopping Hour from 8:00AM - 9:00AM each day for residents 60+ years of age.

 

  • Seniors only shopping hour at City Market Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00AM - 8:00AM is available for anyone 60+.

  • Gunnison Country Food Pantry will continue to provide food assistance to those-in-need during the current emergency. Please call (970) 596-6700 and volunteers will help arrange food delivery. For food pickup, please call the Food Pantry directly at (970) 641-4156 as this system is subject to change.
